Sophie's sheep sound sounds like she's laughing: "hahahaha"
Sophie tends to like her tray clean. Watch and see.
Yesterday (1/30), when I went into her room, she was standing up in her crib. As soon as she saw me, she threw herself down onto her blanket and started "snoring." She was pretending she was sleeping by making the same 'French' snoring sounds we make. Then she started giggling...
1/26/08 This is how Sophie shows us her teeth.
She now has 10 teeth. You can see one of her new molars on the bottom right.
Cheese!
Sophie will be 15 months in a week. She's a blast to be around. Just wanted to update you on a few things she's been doing.
Sophie has been making several animal sounds for a few months now, but I never updated the blog with them:
Sophie has been making several animal sounds for a few months now, but I never updated the blog with them:
- "Aoooow" is her cat 'meow' which sounds exactly like my parents' cat Misty. She calls both cats Gigi and Misty by the name "gigi."
- "Cawcaw" is 'coin-coin', the noise a French duck makes.
- "woof" with a very good "f" sound is her dog. She says :"chien"(French for dog) and "Milou" (my parents dog name). The dog where I work is named Sammy and she tells him "down" while pointing her finger down. Her baby sign for dog is clapping her hands. Both dogs she's around are deaf, so that's how we get their attention. Anywhere she sees a dog, she claps.
- "Mooo" with puckered lips is her cow.
- "O0-o0-ah-ah" is her great monkey. She likes Curious George and makes monkey sounds when she sees the cartoon or a book with him in it.
- "ArrrArrr" for bear and lion.
- "gloo-gloo" for fish.
Her baby signs:
-Please, Bath, Eat, Pardon, More, Milk, Dog, Dad (1/22/08)
Sophie loves her daddy and calls him "Papa" (French for dad). She has called me "maman" once so far.
She is currently enjoying running around the house and running away from us to be chased. Tickling is also on of her favorite things to do. "Tickle-tickle" she says while tickling you...
Sophie seems to have new words on a daily basis. She is like a little parrot, repeating what we say. 1/22 she said "Dodo" which is ni-night.
I think these are the latest updates...
