June fun

Mom and Dad enjoying a weekend in Nashville, Tennessee. We were at a baseball game with some business partners.
Woof woof! Sophie likes being a puppy dog with her small toys.
Staring at Lily.

6/26 This top was not meant to show off Sophie's belly, but it kept creeping up and staying up. It makes her look so big!

Sophie is getting ready to go under water! "Hang on dad, let me say a quick little prayer...Amen."

Yay! She did it 4 times without a tear! We are very proud of her. Mom was a little nervous the first time. We have the video posted on myspace.com.

After her first under water experience Sophie was very proud too. Look at those pearly whites and daddy's matching dimple.

June has been a busy month so far and it isn't even half way through yet. We've been many places, played with many friends and tried new foods. Sophie had her first Cheerio on Friday, June 8th and grunts for them now-thanks Kaden for teaching this to Sophie! :) She's also had baby puffs, steak, tuna, zwieback toast, a strawberry popsicle, mom and dad's lentils...

Sophie has been moving her hands around, looking at them and starting to bang things together. This is a step towards waving, clapping and blowing kisses. Today, 6/12, she moved to a crawling position all by herself and then went back to sitting down. Very cute!!!

It's amazing what can happen in one week! Last weekend, we would put Sophie down in her crib at one end and would find her in the same basic position the next morning. Now, she moves so much that you never know where she is going to be. Just tonight, we put her down in her usual position, and not 30 seconds later, she was already completely flipped over.

Cute grin!

Yay!
Look at my teethers!
Absolutley gorgeous!

Sunday, June 10th at Lake Erie. Little piggies in the sand.
Rinsing the piggies off.

Matthew, another friend of Sophie's.

"Would you like the remote honey?"
Got milk?

Nana loves me.
Playdate with Bella and Gabe.
Eating toast in our sink.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Second shopping cart experience. Watch out, young shopper in training!

We didn't have the camera for the first one.

Kissing mom!

6/6 Can you say drool? Look at that dark pink spot on her clothes! Forgot the bib this morning, oops. Sophie has been blowing bubbles with all her extra saliva. She first started this past Saturday while eating dinner. Not fun! She now does it frequently. It's a good thing I pack several outfits. This one is drying...
Sitting in her stroller like mama sits in the car when dad is driving.
6/5

Sophie is excited about reaching for toys. This is also how she has been dancing. She bounces up and down onto her feet/knees while "flapping" her arms up and down. This gets interesting when she does it on your hip. It requires a stronger grip and watch out for your face!

Sophie has been spending most of her time on her feet with her bottom off the floor. Shouldn't be too long before she crawls... We're in no hurry, the house isn't ready yet, but it's been great getting photos of her progress.

Dr. Jen has been showing us crawling excercises. Here, Sophie is doing great! This is a big improvement from Friday, when she kept collapsing onto her face. Those arms are getting stronger. The pink Tamagotchi has been her "bait." You can see Maggie slowly pulling on the black cord.

6/4 Sophie has been getting up on her knees in the sink.
I have my eye on you mom!
Just wanted to make sure we had a picture of the bald spot.
Finally, a shot of her first two teeth!
