The Haber Family: Happy First Birthday!

11/1 Sophie had her 12 month Dr's visit today and it went great! Dr Anna and our nurse said that she was a "model" child. Sophie eats everything we put on her tray, she weaned herself off her bottle several weeks ago, and she sleeps great! Sophie demonstrated her understanding of French by pointing to her nose when I asked her "ou est ton nez?" We have a trilingual baby who understands French, English and baby signs! WOW!
Her 12 month shots also went great. She did well until the end of the third injection. One more to go before I was able to hold her and stop her crying.
Here are a couple stats: Sophie is 30 1/4 inches tall (85th percentile). She weighs 20 lbs 6 ounces (40th percentile). Her head circumference is 18" (70th percentile). Pretty well balanced for a baby that was born 3 and 1/2 weeks early. She did some great catching up during her first year.

We celebrated Sophie's birthday today, October 28th! It was a blast and I would like to thank everyone for making it a wonderful day. Special thanks to aunt Karen and uncle Nick for letting us use their house and grilling the food. We love you guys!

Sophie and her friends were very well behaved. We started off the party by watching some football while eating food, then Sophie opened her presents and ate/demolished her cake. She put on a great show! We have it all on film! I'm looking forward to seeing every one's pictures. Below, you will see a handful of photos that I took...

By the way, Sophie is walking everywhere!
